The department of Telugu was established with the inception of the college in 1976 . Initially there were two posts in the department . After the introduction of the common core syllabus and also as a policy decision , the government of AndhraPradesh took a decision to boost the restructured course , as result of that one post of Telugu was shifted from this college .At present the department of Telugu functions only with a single post . post graduation course in telugu was introducted in the academic year 2015-2016. privileged students . The depart has been successfully carrying out its vision and mission to meet its goal. It has attracted the students from rural areas to cater their needs towards their career growth. The department has been adopting different innovative teaching and learning methods for the active involvement of the students . The students encouraged towards study projects , student seminars and learning activities such as quiz, elocution , jam program , essay writing . The department has been continuously arranging for the conduct of extension lecturers to give the students additional input besides their regular learning source with eminent and senior faculty from different colleges .Now, it has been undergoing through CBCS system.
